How the HELL do u go about tuning a box to a certain Hz? And what should mine be to obtain MAX SPL?? ?

I have an 2ohm alpine 15" type r running at 4ohms on a a kenwood excelon 1200m giving the sub 800watts rms in a pirted box that inside net volume will be 2.25 cubic feet.. What does tuning a box mean? And what n how should i tune it to? Im nit necesarily concerned about tightness or better sounding bass looking mire for HIGHER/MOST dB and spL. Thanx!
